Winter is here and you’re probably already annoyed at how long it takes you to defrost your windshield and other windows in your car. Thankfully, you don’t have to wait around for that defroster to work, and you don’t even have to scrape off the frost. (Though, if you are a scraper user, make sure that you are only ever using plastic!!)

There is a solution that you can make that involves one part rubbing alcohol and two parts water, put into a spray bottle. When your windows are frosted over on the outside, simply spray this mixture on and then run your wipers after a minute. No more frost!

If you don’t want to make this solution, you should make sure you have a window scraper in your vehicle. Never, ever use anything metal on the exterior of your vehicle! Especially glass! When you do this, you risk scratching your surfaces and damaging them more than you might have bargained for. Always use plastic, and if you can run your defrosters on high while you scrape that’s even better.

Remember, winter won’t last forever, but you don’t have to wait for a million years for your windows to defrost. Scrape or spray, just make sure that you have full visibility whenever you’re behind the wheel!
