Start Cleaning:

I’m the type of person that likes to start with a very clean, empty slate. So that means we have to empty out the entire trunk and let’s just keep the cleaning process going. I recommend that you clean out your entire vehicle while you’re already in clean mode. Now that all of your items are removed, spend a little time showing your ride some TLC. Clean all of the surfaces, windows, heck, grab the vacuum and clean all of your mats. Once your vehicle is clean, I recommend adding an air freshener to get rid of any lingering odors.

Start Organizing:

For many people, the organizing part may be the most difficult part of this entire process but I am here to tell you not to stress. I recommend finding something you like or a process you can stick with, and go from there. Whether you choose specifically designed tools for your vehicle or things like shower caddies or storage bins – find what works for you. This will keep your items organized but these tools will also make finding your belongings much easier when in a rush. Choose a shower caddie for all your car fluids to keep them upright. Choose a small storage bin to keep loose items or any items from rolling around your trunk.

Organization = Safety:

Believe it or not, being an organized driver/ vehicle owner can actually increase your safety when you’re out and about out on the road. Think about cruising down the road, enjoy the sunshine and your favorite song when all of a sudden you have to come to a quick stop. Things may start flying around, might even end up bumping you in the head and that’s no good. We recommend keeping your items secured in the trunk and organized in a home where they won’t come flying at you.
